Agreement guarantees a package of assets that include the right to use official NFL brands and the possibility of carrying out promotions
Pizza Hut Brasil announced its sponsorship of the National Football League (NFL) in Brazil. The agreement guarantees a comprehensive package of assets, with the right to use official NFL brands and the possibility of carrying out promotions.
For the season, the pizzeria chain, together with its suppliers, is planning a promotional campaign and national media coverage of the competition.
“Sponsoring the NFL in Brazil is a significant milestone and an opportunity to bring us even closer to consumers who have a habit of watching games while sharing delicious meals. Our goal is to promote this habit, reinforce the options in our portfolio and also promote our app” , explained Camilla Ortenblad, Pizza Hut Marketing Director at International Meal Company (IMC).
Starting the partnership, the network launched the “Give a Hut to the NFL” campaign, which will take two fans of the league to watch Super Bowl LVIII in person in Las Vegas, at Allegiant Stadium.
To participate in the promotion, customers must purchase the ‘My Box NFL’ or ‘D um Hut NFL’ combos, which come with a collectible cup assorted from the league’s teams, and register their purchase receipts on the campaign’s official website.
The campaign activities also involve content and social media, influencer activations, street furniture, digital totems and a sponsorship package for game broadcasts on RedeTV!.
Through these initiatives, the brand aims to reach approximately 50 million people by February 2024, when the season ends.
Brazil in the NFL
The agreement comes at a time when the league is looking towards Brazil. At the end of 2023, the NFL announced that it will hold the first game of the league’s regular season in 2024 in Brazil, which takes place in September.
The match, which will take place at Arena Corinthians, will be one of five games to be played internationally in 2024. The news was given by NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, at the league meeting in December, in Dallas, in the United States.
