6 unmissable films that premiere in 2024

2024 is here, and here are the films I really want to see in the cinema. There are several hero films, sequels and even a musical. Take a look:

Joker 2

Sequence of ‘Joker‘about Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), who worked as a clown for a talent agency and had to deal with his mental problems forever. The sequel takes place after the events of the 2019 film, when a popular movement began against Gotham City’s elite, which had the Joker as its greatest representative. Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

Deadpool 3

There is still no official synopsis at this time. But, as Ryan Reynolds has already stated, the film will be “a Rashomon-style road trip between Wolverine and Deadpool.” It is already known that Hugh Jackman will participate as Wolverine. There is an expectation that Jennifer Garner will also be in the film, as Elektra.

Madame Teia

‘Madame Teia’ shows the origin story of the title character, played by Dakota Johnson. In the plot, Cassandra Webb leads an ordinary life working as a paramedic in Manhattan, until one day, she discovers that she has the ability to predict the future. One of her visions ends up leading Cassandra to young Julia Carpenter (Sydney Sweeney), Anya Corazon (Isabela Merced) and Mattie Franklin (Celeste OConnor). It doesn’t take long for the four of them to understand that, together, they are destined for something very powerful.

A Quiet Place Day 1

Spin-off of ‘A Quiet Place‘, directed by John Krasinski, with Emily Blunt, ‘Day 1’ is a prequel to the first film, following the arrival of aliens on Earth and the downfall of society as a result of the invasion. The official synopsis has not yet been released, but it is known that the cast includes actors Lupita Nyongo, Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff.

Mean Girls The Musical

The musical follows Cady Heron (Angourie Rice), a young woman who moves from Africa to the United States and needs to start a new life, facing difficulties in adapting to the change in routine, especially at the new school. Among the various students at North Shore, Cady meets the group of the most popular girls in the place, led by Regina George (Rene Rapp), the school’s queen bee. Initially, Cady feels that things can work and that she can fit in among her new friends, but the situation starts to get out of control, especially after she falls in love with the wrong boy.

O Dubl

Film based on the series ‘Duro na Queda’. The story follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a Hollywood stuntman who had to abandon his life of dangerous stunts after suffering an accident. However, a while later, he was called back to work on a film directed by his ex, Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), performing the most intense action scenes for Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the film’s protagonist. But the invitation involves a great mystery: Tom is missing, and while recording his sequences, Colt discovers that he may have been involved in something much bigger than simple work as a stuntman.
