Arrival in the eastern European country is part of the company’s internationalization strategy
Audience success in Brazil, Porta dos Fundos is ready to land in a new country, Poland. Next Tuesday, February 22, the group debuts on the Polish Comedy Central, ViacomCBS’ pay channel network, the “Backdoor – wyjście awaryjne” (emergency exit, in Polish).
The arrival in the Eastern European country is part of the company’s internationalization strategy. For the project, Porta has 72 sketches, recorded with local actors and featuring scripts adapted from already established productions. João Vicente de Castro and Gregório Duvivier are the creative leaders of the internationalization initiatives.
The first test of content with the Polish audience was in December, with the airing of skits on Polsat, Poland’s largest television channel. And now, the public will be able to follow episodes every Monday, starting on February 22nd.
In a statement, Christian Rôças (Crocas), CEO of Porta dos Fundos, said that the humor of Porta is universal, which contributes to the company being able to expand its borders. “I am very happy with the arrival of Porta in Poland, and we are making a strong plan to continue this growth to other territories and languages”, he added.
