Globoplay recorded a 70% expansion of hours consumed in the comparison between 2021 and 2020. A growth that goes beyond the success with BBB, according to the platform.
Titles such as Verdades Secretas 2 and the streaming project to rescue classic works contributed to the “soap operas” category, up 76% in 2021. The “children’s” entertainment area also presented a relevant number, 60%.
The highlight, however, was the reality category, with 182%. And the platform’s expectation is that the BBB will continue to maintain this upward trend.
Data compiled from the period between January 17 and February 8 shows that the platform received more than 68% of unique users per day compared to BBB21. In hours consumed, the increase was over 31%.
