With the agreement, the broadcaster will have a personalized platform within the tennis tournament in the virtual world
Tennis fans will have something new for the first Grand Slan of the year. ESPN and Roblox have entered into a partnership and will bring the competition experience to the metaversion.
In the game called AO Adventure, the character will go through a tunnel, see the commentators, enter a court customized by ESPN and be able to play a tennis match against the computer or another player.
To enter the game, the player needs to obtain a code that will be passed on ESPN broadcasts and on the broadcaster’s social networks.
The game will be available between January 14th and 28th, during the championship, on Windows, Android and iOS.
ESPN’s entry into the metaverse is part of the channel’s broad strategy to consolidate itself in the digital environment.
