To celebrate the 470th anniversary of the city of São Paulo, celebrated this Thursday (25), the Shopee, marketplace which connects sellers, brands and consumers, created a FOOH (Fake Out of Home) action for the brand’s social networks. The video, produced by Shopee’s internal team, was released on the platform’s Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, and features an air show with balloons customized with the company’s colors and logo, flying over tourist attractions in the capital of São Paulo, such as the Cathedral of São Paulo, Avenida Paulista and Ponte Estaiada. Consumers will also have exclusive discount coupons to use on purchases made on that date.
“We are very excited about our second year of FOOH. We want to pay homage to the city of So Paulo, where our headquarters are located and home to so many opportunities. We included Shopee balloons to brighten up the places most loved by São Paulo residents”, explains Felipe Piringer, head of Marketing at Shopee.
This is the second time that the Shopee team has carried out this type of action. In December 2023, the company introduced Shopito, the brand’s mascot, which appeared in the company’s office windows in a FOOH format in order to celebrate the 12.12 campaign and the end of year festivities.
