Operator reinforced infrastructure at the Exhibition Park and promised full connection for customers
From remote karaok on the Ferris wheel to virtual reality glasses. Tim decided to focus on experiences for the fifth generation of the Salvador 2024 Summer Festival, which will take place this weekend.
In its role as master sponsor of the event for the second year, the operator reinforced the infrastructure at the Exhibition Park and promised full connection for customers among an audience estimated at 40 thousand people.
“Last year, we held the first 5G mega event in the Northeast with great success. We had a significant volume of data and the quality of the network was a highlight. Now, we are going further, bringing even more incredible activations, which make tangible how the fifth-generation technology generation can revolutionize the festival experience”, said Fabio Avellar, VP of Revenue at TIM.
Since last year, TIM has been the only operator with 5G coverage in the neighborhoods of Salvador and, in and around the Parque de Exposições, the company has installed seven stations, totaling around 40 antennas, including equipment that blends into the event’s scenography.
In addition to allowing customers to communicate, the infrastructure will enable activations such as 5G karaok, which will connect people singing in one of the booths on the festival’s traditional Ferris wheel with a band at the company’s stand.
In addition to karaok, TIM will use 5G to promote immersion at various points of the Summer Festival through connected virtual reality glasses, available at the company’s stand.
The space will be positioned between the Cais and Ponte stages, has two floors, LED televisions, stands with cell phone chargers, views of the shows and a rooftop for guests. In the space will be the team chosen by BETC Havas to cover the event, made up of Carlinhos Brown, Lore Improta, Ney Lima, Sheila Matos, Alda, Leozito and Lori Rufis.
“We had an emblematic debut last year, reverberating all our actions at the event in a very positive way. This year, we will further boost people’s experience with immersive and unprecedented activations, which reinforce our innovation and at the same time our connection with the music. We will deliver many possibilities, experiencing all the energy of the Summer Festival together with the public”, explained Camila Ribeiro, director of Communications and Brand at TIM.
TIM will also distribute gifts such as a visor and “shoulder bag” and with the TIM 5G Cam it will capture records posted with the hashtag #TIMNoFV24 and display the images on the stand’s telephones.
The company will also have a presence in the cabin with a 360 photo platform and will have a store to sell chips, recharges and accessories such as power banks, cables and films, among others.
Atenas, from Bahian partners Denise Garrido and Qurcia Andrade, is TIM’s partner agency at the Salvador 2024 Summer Festival and is responsible for all the creation, planning and execution of the operator’s activations at the festival. BETC HAVAS is responsible for the entire key visual, advertising campaign, influencers, strategy and coverage on social media.
