The program is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2024
Globo and Universal Music came together in a partnership to develop a musical reality show, which was announced by Boninho during the broadcaster’s Upfront that took place at the end of 2023.
The program is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2024, bringing elements of coexistence, interactivity with the public, multiplatform content, creativity and artistic and production quality.
The new program was born from the union of two successful formats, which we have been doing for years: confinement and musical competitions. In it, we unite two passions, but sharing a new reality with our audience. We will count on Universal Music’s partners bringing the day-to-day life of the music market to the format, said José Bonifcio Brasil de Oliveira, aka Boninho, director of the Varieties and Realities genre at Globo.
The partnership will bring together the characteristic elements of the music universe, including hiring the winner of the program.
Working with Globo’s reality show team and the participating musicians throughout the reality show’s entire trajectory will be the biggest differentiator of this partnership model. The Universal Music team will support participants throughout the program, enabling them to experience the real world of the music market and access the resources and strategies available to build their careers, added Paulo Lima, president of Universal Music Brasil.
Registration for the new musical reality show is now open via the Gshow website.
