Havaianas stepped into its shoes at Christ the Redeemer, in Rio de Janeiro, thanks to computer graphics technology (CGI) developed by Alterlabs, a hub specialized in special Altermark projects.
The news that the monument to Christ the Redeemer is using the brand’s iconic flip-flops will be one of the themes of “Jornal das Legtimas”, which premieres its second season this Tuesday (30).
During the episode, which will be shared on the brand’s Instagram, the presenters come across the extraordinary news about Christ the Redeemer and ask: “Where’s the Brazilian who doesn’t wear Havaianas?”
According to the brand, by virtually dressing the monument in the yellow-green flip-flops of the Brasil Logo Pop-up model, Havaianas creates an image that captures the pure essence of Brazilianness in the way that only a couple of the brand can do.
The choice of the monument to Christ the Redeemer as the protagonist of the campaign celebrates not only its architecture, but also the culture and beauty of Rio de Janeiro. The monument transcends its architectural nature, and has become an essential part of popular culture for all Brazilians, not just those from Rio. Recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2012, Christ the Redeemer is an emblematic representation of Brazil around the world.
