After a 2023 with several strategic innovations in its structure, with the return of Sergio Gordilho and Mrcio Santoro to the agency’s partnership, the creation of Co-CCOs positions, occupied by Joanna Monteiro, Mariana S and Nicholas Bergantin, the Africa Creative, the only Brazilian agency present in the Top 10 Most Awarded Agencies in the World at Cannes for three consecutive years, announces an important move in the area of management and business: Heloisa Pupim, Renato Broggin and Veronica Gordilho Araujo assume positions as co-COOs of the agency. The trio will boost leadership, redistribute accounts, design and personalize operations for each client in the house.
Heloisa Pupim has worked in Africa since 2010, coming from Fischer America, and graduated in Advertising at Faculdade Csper Lbero. She joined the agency as a supervisor and had significant experience with several of the company’s clients, such as Ita and Ambev, for example.
“Creative ambition, focus on results and ability to achieve are what unites us and what moves us. This movement reflects this partnership and these shared values. I am happy and honored to take this important step within Africa and excited for the next chapters of this story, especially alongside people I trust and admire,” she says.
Renato Broggin has a degree in Communications and a postgraduate degree in Administration. With more than 20 years in multinational advertising agencies, with stints at the agencies Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Dentsu and Talent, he joined Africa in mid-2019 to lead the Ita operation.
“A huge commitment to continuing the great and lasting relationships we have with our customers. Add our experiences to this new nucleus that is being formed, with the vision of distributing the best solutions for each brand with agility, efficiency and, above all, with the challenge of continuing to innovate in a market in constant transformation”, he adds.
Veronica Gordilho Araujo, before taking on her current position in Africa, where she has worked since April 2017, already worked at the agencies Lew’lara\TBWA, DPZ Propaganda and McGarryBowen Brasil.
“Africa is a place of passionate and ambitious people. An agency that has the ability to bring together the best people and form the best team. And as a result, in addition to the creative consistency that we preach so much, a solid relationship with our customers, growing year after year, like Natura, for example. Last year we announced the creation of BIOMA, an exclusive center to serve the account that has tripled in size. This is the objective: to always grow within our clients with relevance, results and creativity”, she comments.
Partner, co-president and CEO of Africa, Mrcio Santoro explains that this is a movement that has been going on since last year, but only now have the senior leadership positions that Veronica, Heloisa and Renato acquired been announced.
“All three are very capable senior professionals who have decades of experience, grew up with the agency, have been with us for years and have been promoted to co-COOs. Each one has their own culture and way of dealing with clients, but they are all aligned with Africa’s DNA and know the agency very well.
