Companies announced merger in January 2024; Burson will begin operations on July 1st
Following the merger between Hill & Knowlton and BCW, announced in January of this year, Burson has presented the first round of leadership appointments for all major regions. Additional appointments will be announced as the integration of the two companies progresses.
Kristine Boyden, current CEO of the Americas at BCW, will become CEO of the Americas at Burson. For Latin America, the person taking over the position will be Brian Burlingame, currently CEO of H&K in the region. In the United States, Craig Buchholz was appointed as the leader for the North American market.
According to WPP, Burson will begin operations on July 1, 2024 and the brand will be presented later this year.

Bashar AlKadhicurrently CEO of EMEAx, Hill & Knowlton – covering Continental Europe, Nordic countries, Middle East, Turkey, India and Africa – will become CEO for Burson’s Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
HS Chungcurrently president of Hill & Knowlton’s Asia-Pacific region, will become CEO of Burson’s North Asia-Pacific region covering greater China, Japan and Korea.
Matt Staffordcurrent president of BCW’s Asia-Pacific region, will become CEO of Burson’s South Asia-Pacific region covering India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
