Users showed interest in the games, shared opinions and commented on the teams’ performance, as well as news about the playoffs. Another point he drew attention to were the references to recipes for game days.
Analyzing the snack scenario, hot dogbarbecue and snacks, in 2023, the main mothers had barbecue as a consumer item and comments about the hot dog. There is still interest in sandwiches, fries and bacon, mini cheese burger bacon, mini sausage rolls and breaded chicken. Perdigo, which turns 90 years old in 2024, seeks to expand sales of products aimed at specific consumption occasions through the Na Brasa line, which has a complete portfolio of barbecue products and other dishes with cuts of pork, chicken, hamburgers , languages and celebrations.
“Due to the long duration of games and match times, food and drink are part of the pre-game ritual that is fundamental to this culture: the famous tailgating. So, the journey of NFL fan consumption is much longer compared to any other sport, as it starts pre-game and continues until the end. And the Na Brasa product line will offer precisely this experience through barbecue, which is a great Brazilian passion”, observes Rafael Gonalez, executive brand manager at Perdigo.
The growth of NFL fans in Brazil jumped from 3 million to 38.3 million in the last 10 years, according to data from the event’s organizers.
“Brazil has become a priority for the League, being the third country with the largest number of fans in the world, behind only the USA and Mexico. The numbers on the NFL’s digital channels on Instagram and Tiktok have Brazil as a highlight, being among those with the most followers in the international market”, explains Pedro Rego Monteiro, CEO of Effect Sport, the official NFL agency in Brazil.
NFL In Brasa takes place between February 9th and 11th, in So Paulo (SP), and will offer different programming during the Carnival holiday. There are several attractions for fans linked to the sport such as passing, kicking field goal40-yard shot, reception challenge, among others.
