Action, carried out in partnership with End to End, marks the beginning of the positioning that the Tricolor Gacho club will adopt during the year
Grmio announced the launch of a campaign against harassment with the motto “Grmio for Zero Harassment”, focused on this year’s Carnival.
The action, carried out in partnership with End to End, marks the beginning of the position that the Tricolor Gacho club will adopt during the year, in combating violence against women.
As part of the project, midfielder Villasanti will enter the field wearing the number 0 shirt, referencing the name of the campaign, and it will be the first time that a player uses this number in Brazilian football.
We want to raise awareness not only among our fans, but the entire population against harassment. Despite Carnival being a beautiful party, we know that many cases of abuse end up happening during the event, which is why it’s the perfect date to talk about it. For this, together with End to End we found the perfect idea. We are creating an unprecedented event in Brazilian football, with the aim of attracting the spotlight to our campaign. It is just the beginning of a series of actions of the type that Grmio will carry out in 2024, explained Henrique Gutterres, Marketing executive at Grmio.
Grmio takes the field next Saturday (10), against So Luiz, in a duel valid for the 7th round of the Campeonato Gacho 2024. The match takes place at Arena do Grmio, at 4:30 pm.
It is an extremely necessary campaign. We know how gigantic Grmio fans are and the influence the club has on these people’s daily lives. Therefore, taking action like this helps a lot to work on this problem, which unfortunately still persists in our society. It is immense pride to be able to contribute to the institution in this very important fight, added Reginaldo Diniz, CEO of End to End.
