Floresta announced the launch of Semente Educa Criativa, a comprehensive training program that will prepare, support the development and insertion of young low-income women in the audiovisual market.
In the project, ten young people will be selected to participate in the course that will last two months. The class will undergo training and each will have the opportunity to create a fiction project and/or not receive mentoring from professionals from the Sony Pictures Television production company in Brazil.
At the end, each participant will present their creations to an evaluation panel made up of experts from different market sectors and up to two may receive an invitation to join the Floresta development team.
“As one of the main producers in Brazil, we want to positively impact society and the entire market in which we are part. And Semente EducaCriativa is one of the ways we see to contribute to strengthening the sector, ensuring that more productions are carried out by diverse talents” , said Adriana “Dida” Silva, VP and General Director of the Forest.
The first edition of Semente EducaCriativa has the support of the Sony Creative Diversity Fund and is aimed only at low-income women.
