Company is the sponsor of Crystal, the company’s first ice show in Brazil; shows will be held in Rio and So Paulo
Thousands of stunts with a touch of challenge: ice. Cirque du Soleil is packing its bags to bring the Crystal show to Brazil. The show will arrive in Rio de Janeiro between the 13th and 23rd of June, at Rioarena, while the city of So Paulo will host the show between the 5th of July and the 6th of October, at Parque Villa-Lobos.
In the São Paulo metropolis, the show will be presented in the largest tent that Cirque du Soleil has ever brought to the country, with a capacity for 3,582 seats, occupying 6,300 m and 20 meters high.
Presented by Porto and directed by IMM, Crystal takes the audience on a journey of self-discovery of the character who gives the show its name in a story that is told based on the interaction between the characters and the projections on the ice.
The show, created by Shana Carroll and Sebastien Soldevila, features seven traditional circus acts, including trapeze, hand-to-hand, banquine, aerial wings, trapeze, juggling and hand balancing, all adapted to be performed on ice. In addition to the uniqueness of skating, Crystal also marks Porto’s first time as a sponsor of Cirque du Soleil in Brazil.
Luiz Arruda, Porto’s commercial and marketing VP, explained that the brand’s objective in teaming up with the Canadian company goes beyond simple sponsorship. With the partnership, Porto is seeking to connect with the public and with business.
Through the show, we want to showcase our ecosystem of solutions and services, in partnership with our partner brokers. We will offer every care to those who are already customers and those who are yet to be. We are doing this with a culture and entertainment platform for all the people we interact with, said Arruda.
The pre-sale of the show for Porto customers will begin this Thursday (22nd) and customers will have a special discount of 20%, in addition to the convenience of paying in up to 6 interest-free installments.
Sales to the general public will take place from March 12th and tickets can be paid in up to 3 installments.
