Current Libertadores champion, Tricolor from Rio faces LDU in the first game of Recopa, this Wednesday
Fluminense begins this Wednesday (21) to decide the Recopa, against LDU, in Quito, Ecuador. The match, which pits the Libertadores and South American champions face to face, also marks the debut of the new Tricolor das Laranjeiras uniform for the 2024 season.
Developed in partnership with Umbro, the shirt features a patch in the form of a patch paying homage to the 1984 Brazilian Championship title, celebrating 40 years of one of the most emblematic moments in the club’s history.
The shirt has the traditional tricolor vertical stripes in green, white and gren, which follow the same pattern on the sleeves. The new uniform also features graphics in abstract and deconstructed lines, in reference to “art Deco”, an artistic concept brought by French immigration to Rio de Janeiro and which is present in more than 400 buildings in the city.
