A Warner Channel airs today (23), at 10:55 pm, the premiere of the new season of MATCHES, a national comedy series. Directed by Anita Barbosa and Manuh Fontes, the production brings together Fernanda de Freitas, George Sauma, Luana Martau, Raphael Logam, Flvio Pardal and Pedroca Monteiro. Episodes will be available on Fridays on HBO Max.
The production tells the story of a group of friends who, without luck in love, decide to venture into a dating app called Matches.
In the new season, the character Benjamin (Raphael Logam) arrives in the plot. He is recently divorced and goes to visit his friend Escovo (George Sauma) in Rio de Janeiro, but must stay in the city for longer after getting a job as a chef at his friend’s restaurant. Escovo helps Benjamin create a profile on Matches and, while he’s still learning about this new adventure, he soon matches Lara (Fernanda Freitas).
Over the course of ten episodes, the audience will be able to identify with the group of friends on bad dates, new matches and disastrous encounters, while dealing with work, family and ex-loves. All this with a lot of humor to save them from the most uncomfortable situations possible.
The series is a co-production between Migdal Filmes and WBD for Warner Channel. MATCHES was created by Carolina Castro and Marcelo Andrade and directed by Anita Barbosa and Manuh Fontes. It is also produced by Carolina Castro and has Marcelo Guerra as executive producer by Midgal. On the part of WBD, Anouk Aaron is the VP of original productions Latam, Renata Rezende is the director of general production Latam, Silvia Fu is the senior director of content Brazil and Priscila Guida is the production manager Brazil.
Get ready for lots of laughs with MATCHES on Warner Channel. The first episode will be available on HBO Max and, starting today, new chapters will arrive on Max, WBD’s enhanced streaming platform.
