The Free Free Institute, which works for the physical freedom, emotional health and financial independence of women through initiatives that accelerate gender equity, inclusion and social transformation, joins once again with the Public Ministry to create an itinerant shelter project the women.
Starting on February 16 at the Casa da Mulher Brasileira, in São Paulo, ‘Eu Decido Me Empoderar’ aims to develop a series of actions that contribute to the self-esteem and self-confidence of women who are victims of violence. At the first stop, the project will feature the Prosecutor Dr. Juliana Gentil. According to the promoter:
“Casa da Mulher Brasileira offers comprehensive and humanized care for women in situations of violence, through the articulation of specialized care in the scope of Justice, Public Security, social assistance network and the promotion of financial autonomy with training courses and programs such as the partnership of the Public Ministry with Free Free, which aims to provide a life free from violence”.
Led by Yasmine McDougall Sterea, CEO and founder of Free Free, and by Dr. Valéria Scarance, Public Prosecutor and researcher on the topic of violence against women and gender, the initiative will tour the state of São Paulo throughout the year, visiting institutions and bringing emotional health to women in vulnerable situations.
