Our society lives at a time in history when intense changes occur in a short period of time. Our day to day is based on receiving information on the most varied subjects. Some experts already explore the term “informational fat”, and how much this information truck can impact people’s lives. Fact is that this boom of data is a direct consequence of the technologies, which facilitate, for example, the sharing of ideas. And luckily, all the knowledge coming from the tech adds and facilitates the life of human beings in many aspects.
An issue that has been widely commented on by the market in the last year is how much social isolation anticipated trends, and this is an unquestionable fact. with the arrival of covid-19, all businesses had to run to avoid becoming obsolete, especially regarding the experience of a new consumer profile. In this sense, a study published by the OAS and fur BIDstates that the pandemic has accelerated digitalization in Latin America, and that in three months we have advanced what was expected for three years.
However, in this challenging period, there were many companies that also stand out in the delivery of services with innovation that make the consumer’s day to day easier, and if I can list any similarities between these businesses, I would say that it is the strategic intelligence in the use of technologies. Undoubtedly, none of the companies that bet on technological solutions managed to establish an image of credibility in the market.
In this sense, some easy-to-apply technologies can help brands stand out, taking the first steps of business innovation, catching customers’ attention, and providing memorable experiences for consumers. When we look at physical retail, for example, self-service totems can help customers who don’t like to be interrupted by salespeople. With it, customers have the possibility to complete the sale independently. This is a tool that delivers practicality, in addition to helping to reduce queues at the store.
Another very simple solution is to form a team that is responsible for the company’s social media. Because when a comment from a network follower appears, there will be someone on the other side to answer a question or even interact with the comment. It may seem simple, but these are details that delight customers and humanize the brand. Another possible tool is the structuring of a team responsible for SAC. Many companies offer this service, but they don’t look at the area with the attention it deserves, since the sector is the showcase of how the company relates to its customers, especially after the sale. If the grades are low, the entire project needs to be revised. A bad service at call center can damage the company’s image and alienate the customer.
You see, these solutions above are very simple, easy to apply for businesses that do not yet have technology-oriented services. Today, we live in a much deeper world of innovation, with a Artificial intelligence able, for example, to deduct a purchase due to consumer behavior on the internet, based on the last purchases, or even on customers who have similar consumption habits. These are robust technologies that need a deep study, an integrated database and a lot of strategy for deployment. But as I always say, to start, you need to start from some starting point, and with that, I leave the question: has your company started?
We know that the word of the day is innovation, but when we talk about the subject, many think of outlandish strategies from the point of view of applying the idea. But innovating can be quite simple. And a golden tip is that it always needs to make sense to your core business. Ideas that are applied with strategic intelligence are capable of revolutionizing the business. The novelty becomes a reference and attracts consumers. The image that you consolidate by investing in technology is a reference in your sector, and no one will take that credit away from you!
