If January was a slow month, February passed as quickly as lightning. And as promised, we’re back with another #TopPubli, the ranking most charismatic and creative in the advertising world, highlighting the main campaigns of the month. This month brought with it a lot of excitement, especially the carnival campaign that won first place.
Are you curious to know what’s on the list? Well, enough talk and let’s move on to the February camps.
#5 My time
Client: Honda Motorcycles | Agncia: Publicis
One of the most recurring conflicts in everyday life is generational. Let anyone who never said the infamous phrase cast the first stone: it was better in my day. With this in mind, in the launch campaign for the Sahara 300 and NX 350 Sahara, Honda Motos showed that it is possible to embrace old elements and redesign them for a new generation.
To the sound of Paradise City, by the band Guns n Roses (a low blow for any rock fan, like we at Adnews are), the motorcycle brand rescues iconic elements from the 90s and contrasts with the present day, showing Sahara as the link between these two generations.
#4 ExCommerce
Client: Garimprio | Agncia: DM9
If ex was good, it wouldn’t be ex. Calm down, because this is not a rant (or is it?), but rather the motto of the campaign by the circular fashion website Garimprio, which did something innovative for this year’s Valentine’s Day.
Allowing people to sell items left behind by ex-boyfriends, Ex-commerce (a pun on the term e-commerce, from the English, virtual commerce) turns the pain of a breakup into extra money for those who spent the last Valentine’s Day for foreigners alone.
#3 Calabreso
Client: Pizza Hut | Taco Bell
Over the years, the reality show Big Brother Brasil dictated many fashions, especially when it comes to the expressions used by the participants. Who remembers the much talked about borders, look at her! and bascule?
The new season of the program was no different. Participant Davi starred in the most talked about scene on BBB 24 to date: calm down, Calabrese.
Originally created by comedian Toninho Tornado, known for replacing the last letter of words ending in a with o, the expression was used by brother during a fight with MC Bin Laden and Buddha. The issue had such an impact that it didn’t take long for brands to jump on the wave. Check out what Pizza Hut and Taco Bell came up with.

#2 The origin of MorumBIS
Client: BIS | agncia: DAVID
In this TopPubli there were several campaigns that left the public awestruck, but this one left everyone A-BIS-mad. I confess that maybe BIS is better with puns than me *laughs*.
After acquiring the naming rights from the Morumbi stadium, Mondelz transformed So Paulo’s home into MorumBIS and, to show that this pun required a lot of effort and seriousness (until the second page), BIS released the advertising film The origin of MorumBIS, which tells the story of a department responsible for creating puns in the snack.
#1 Boot to Spin
Client: Stone
What was that?, this was probably the most asked question by Stone’s followers who came across the stories mistakenly published on the company’s official account by an employee who was enjoying Carnival. As what is once on the internet will always be on the internet, shortly after the incident, the subject was already one of the most talked about on social media across the country.
Brazil is with the Carnival diva from Stone’s stories
Tales Copolla (@talescopolla) February 5, 2024
The girl posts Carnival stories from the company’s profile (Stone, in this case), Twitter falls in love, a thousand brands interact, Rio de Janeiro comes with the STONE NO DEMITE block.
Who doesn’t like CRAZY Carnival.
Liv Brando (@livbrandao) February 6, 2024
After going viral, many internet users were worried whether Desire Barros, the Marketing analyst at Stone responsible for publishing these stories, you would lose your job. However, in a brilliant marketing move, Stone got around to it and decided not only to keep the employee, but also to make some publications with the young woman on the theme that made her so popular: Carnival.
Did you like the campaigns? If only the second month of the year has already brought so much creativity, what will happen in the next TopPubli? Stay tuned so you don’t miss anything!
