area to be handled by Murilo Melo, ECD of GUT So Paulo, who will be global head
GUT announced this Monday (4) its first global vertical, GUT Design. Based on the “Beauty Inside Out” principle, the new area will make brand identity the focal point of creative expression.
The network appointed Murilo Melo, ECD of GUT So Paulo, as Global Head of GUT Design. Melo has over 20 years of experience combining communication with Design and Art and has held the positions of creative director and art director at Wunderman Thompson, BETC, F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett and more.
According to GUT, the launch of the Design vertical will allow the agency to meet growing global demand for creative and innovative design solutions.
Melo will supervise a specialist team that includes Andr Firulo (design lead), Rosario Muoz (head of design at GUT Buenos Aires), Claudia Nakahara (director of operations) and the design duo Raul Lima and Bia Santos, as well as motion designer Marcus Prado and designers based in other GUT offices.
The center that leads the operation is based in So Paulo, Brazil, and the vertical is supported by professionals in the network’s seven offices in Miami, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Mexico City, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
“Our commitment to innovation and creativity has always been at the forefront of our operations, and this new venture is a testament to that,” said Anselmo Ramos, Founder and Creative Chairman of GUT.
