Dani Ribeiro brings a rich and diverse professional trajectory, permeated by experiences that shaped his passion for communication
Her inclination towards dialogue and connection with people from different backgrounds manifested itself from her first temporary jobs, as a school bus attendant, event receptionist and saleswoman in shopping malls. Genuine curiosity about the needs and interests of others was a pattern that accompanied her throughout her life. The choice for the advertising and advertising course came naturally, providing a fusion of her social skills with her love of writing.
In August 2023, Dani Ribeiro enthusiastically accepted the invitation to the position of CCO at WMcCann, standing out as an outstanding creative leader in the Brazilian advertising scene. Throughout her journey, she has contributed to notable campaigns for brands such as GSK/Haleon, Hersheys, Heineken, P&G, Nestl, Honda, LOral, Vivo, Localiza, GM and Seara, being recognized at the country’s biggest creativity festivals and of the world.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dani is Clarice, a teacher on the creative leadership course at Miami Ad School and actively participates in initiatives focused on education, science and culture as a member of the board of transcriativa/UNESCO SOST.
For Dani, 2023 was a year full of changes and challenges. She started at Publicis and ended at WMcCann, assuming the role of CCO for the first time. She highlighted the importance of being prepared for surprises and grateful for learning alongside experienced professionals. I brought with me every experience from last year and all the previous ones, after all, I have been in my career for more than 25 years, but I have never felt like such a learner, she says.
She emphasized the opportunity to learn from an exceptional team and contribute to creative and business decisions for some of the country’s biggest brands. I’m working like never before, under enormous pressure, but anyone who bumps into me in the offices in São Paulo, Rio or Brasilia will see me smiling from one ear to the other.
When projecting goals for 2024, the creative highlights the challenge of producing engaging content and stimulating relevant conversations. She mentioned the configuration of integrated leadership at WMcCann, seeking integration, innovation and creative reputation. Furthermore, Dani emphasizes the importance of attracting the right experts and partners to ensure agility, assertiveness and creative excellence.
Regarding the importance of strengthening the role of women in leadership positions, Dani highlights that diversity of perspectives is essential. Our industry needs, more than ever, new leadership formats. Women, black people, LGBTQIA + and PwDs bring a plurality of perspectives and knowledge, and it is impossible to point out new creative visions without these intersectionalities also represented in leadership positions, she emphasizes.
The executive noticed changes in the perception of female leaders over the years, especially in her own experience. She highlighted the evolution of feelings of loneliness to the creation of support groups, strengthening the female presence in leadership positions.
