And Coletiva Day continues in full swing. This time, moving from the news of the broadcaster’s journalism to entertainment, the SBT presents everything that is to come in the Circo do Tiru program, presented by the most popular clown in Brazil, who has more than 30 million followers on social media, Tirulipa.
To talk about the new program from the Abravanel family broadcaster, director Marcelo Kestenbaum and presenter Tirulipa discussed with journalist Simone Queiroz their expectations for Circo do Tiru, which will air every Saturday at 6pm.
a totally different program from what we are used to doing, outside of SBT, inside a real circus. We accept the challenge of bringing the entire essence of a television program into the circus. What made our lives easier was Tiru’s genius, bringing a very pleasant essence and feeling of nostalgia to us, and that’s what we want to bring to the public, this return to childhood, said Marcelo Kestenbaum.
Tirulipa reinforced the director’s speech, sharing how the circus is part of television, remembering the origins of Silvio Santos, who worked in circuses. With this idea in mind, the clown presented the project to Daniela Abravanel to, instead of taking the circus to TV, take TV into the circus.
With the blessing of director Marcelo, they began to study how they would fit these two formats together without breaking the magic of the shows, but putting them on a television level with all the lighting and production of a true SBT program.
We could create a scene with a tarp and other elements, but the warmth and truth that we convey to the public because it is inside a real circus is something inexplicable. When guests and artists go there, they eat popcorn as if it were a circus show, because it’s real, commented Tirulipa.
When asked about the program’s target audience, the director highlighted that it aims to reach all families, being a free classification program that seeks to touch the hearts of all generations. To achieve this, Circo do Tiru will rely on innocent humor, without appeal, focusing on grimaces, mannerisms and everything that rescues childhood.
Proud of me
The program also seeks to make people believe in their own dreams, whether with mothers who enroll their children in Circo do Tiru to complete challenges and earn rewards that help them transform their lives, or with Tirulipa himself, who shared his main influence to be who:
I dedicate this program to my mother. My father is a genius, but when she decided to run away with the circus and live her love with a clown, the first step was taken by her in that humble city. When I went to debut the circus, she was in the audience, and I’m grateful that, like the circus boy, I can take my art to TV, said Tirulipa, excited.
The clown concludes by saying that he has a lot to offer viewers, with lots of fun, entertainment and pictures that will help and change the lives of many people, taking the circus to the home of every Brazilian.
