From Houston to Austin, I’m taking an Embraer 170. 120 people and a very smooth flight. The third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world is Brazilian.
There is great pride in Brazil in these moments, to compensate for the denialism that took over a third of the population and the insane fights in favor of weapons and against vaccines.
At the innovation and technology festival with the most difficult name to pronounce, Portuguese is spoken a lot. In the streets and in living rooms, Portuguese is heard all the time. It shows the desire we have to innovate, to be close to innovation and who knows, to be one of its agents.
I arrive and am faced with a reality. I’ve missed at least 50 lectures in just one day. The five I watched were great, but it was impossible to follow everything. And, I know that now you don’t have to feel guilty about it. On the contrary. Embrace your inabilities and limits.
The human being, increasingly human, is perhaps what we have left, since artificial intelligence is truly here to stay.
I heard a talk about how Paramount is introducing Artificial Intelligence into its production and creative process. Lip-sink in different languages when dubbing your films is incredibly useful and clever. Locations with studios that simulate, in an incredible image reality, some scenes that are difficult to access, facilitating production and making it viable.
We know what AI tool. There are more than 12 thousand AI, for 8 thousand tasks. Are we going to create an AI to curate which AI to use?
Enter this link and be surprised by the quantity and variety of artificial intelligence.
It would take you 15 years to try them all and have an opinion. And in the end, there would be more than 30 thousand Ais. Oh the stone of Sisyphus. There’s no point in even trying to feel guilty about not being the innovation guy. Artificial intelligence, as a tool, works and the communicator understands human beings and which buttons to press.
At the agency we have been working with artificial intelligence for at least two years and it has helped to make the hard work much easier and helped to polish and shine the creative work we do. But tool. And detail, more experienced professionals like using AI more. Because for it to really help you, you need to express yourself in English or Portuguese in a technical way, with style and with a great vocabulary. Those who read and write well have an advantage.
I’m waiting here for the next lecture and thinking that until the quantum computer arrives, to run an AI, everything is fine. After all, quantum computing will presuppose duality and we will never understand what the computer is really thinking. This is the quantum principle, the uncertainty of positions.
But I don’t know if it will take long, the next lecture talks about quantum computing in operation today.
I’ll tell you later.
