This is my first time here in Austin, and like everyone briefing I received, I came prepared to suffer for everything I will stop seeing. SXSW always says “Wow, I didn’t see that”, and that’s fine. On the second day, I understood that the event is unique for each person, I decided not to suffer from FOMO and invest in POV.
I abandoned all my rules and walked away, literally.
A track What I chose for myself was to open my eyes to experience, to draw from every corner an inspiration, a insight for what to take into my day-to-day work: brand experiences.
And so it is. From everything I saw, on and off the schedule, SXSW is Pinterest in the open. Does it have amazing activations? Yes. The launch of Paramount’s ‘Fallout’ series was one of them, impeccable in everything, in the details, in the execution, cinema stuff (outside of the track cinema). Queues and more queues that were totally worth it, even if I’m not a fan of video games. The series is inspired by a game, and I connected with the experience from beginning to end, leaving lf something that wasn’t part of my universe.
But, the true experience here is outside the experience. It’s on the street, in meetings, on every corner, a surprise. It’s difficult to list the things I liked most because it’s impossible not to like something here.
In the end, everything applies to our everyday creations, just look around with different eyes.
