O Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) and the Azul signed a sponsorship deal. The company becomes the official airline of Team Brazil for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The announcement was made at a press conference held in the Azul hangar at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (SP), and brought together athletes such as Alison dos Santos (athletics); Letcia Oro (athletics); Gustavo Bala Loka (BMX cycling); Flávia Saraiva (artistic gymnastics); and Diana Duarte (volleyball), in addition to former athletes Maurcio Lima (volleyball) and Virna Dias (volleyball).
Let’s help Team Brasil fly high in every way. Our company, which has always sought to connect all corners of the country to the world, could not fail to support Brazilian athletes in this very important global competition. Our business model, for 15 years, has invested in and valued Brazilian culture and beauty, motivating national tourism and expanding our network to be where no other airline company has ever been. But we know we can do more, and this partnership proves how this is possible. We are proud of this opportunity to support Team Brasil, said Abhi Shah, president of Azul.
The objective of the partnership is for Azul to help promote the Olympic Games to reinforce the company’s connection with Brazil and Brazilians, valuing achievements and dreams. The contract includes actions that will seek to inspire, motivate and mobilize customers and also the company’s own employees.
One of the activations will make customers on Viracopos-Orly flights enjoy the Olympic Games in a different way. From June to August, Azul will resume its partnership with chef Claude Troisgros, who will create the lunch and dinner menu for Business and Economy Class passengers. The promise is that the menu will value Brazilian ingredients, prepared with classic French culinary techniques.
