The Ibero-American Creativity Festival (FIAP) and LatAm Advertising Week (AWLATAM) announce that, in 2024, they will continue working together in consolidating the largest meeting of creative industries in Latin America.
“We are proud to elevate the creative landscape through the Ibero-American Festival of Creativity. This collaboration is not only a showcase of the region’s exceptional talent, but also reinforces the power of partnership to drive innovation and excellence across the industry,” says Douglas Rowell, president of Advertising Week LatAm.
This strategic alliance, facilitated since 2023 by PRODU (a leading media outlet in the Hispanic communications industry) becomes a clear example of the collaborative power of large institutions to strengthen the creative industries in Ibero America. In this way, FIAP will once again have an in-person and leadership space to celebrate its in-person gala within the scope of the 2024 edition of AWLATAM.
“The incorporation of FIAP AWLATAM transforms our event into a beacon of creativity, celebrating all the innovative work that defines our sector. It’s a testament to our commitment to recognizing excellence and inspiring professionals to push the boundaries of what’s possible in advertising and beyond,” adds Rowell.
FIAP is consolidating itself as one of the most relevant creative meetings in the sector thanks to this type of alliances, which have added to its trajectory unique elements such as webinars throughout the year, a virtual and in-person awards gala, in addition to the presence of iconic creative characters Latin, like Charly Alberti (former drummer of Soda Stereo).
“We are very happy and satisfied with the result of the partnership between FIAP and AWLATAM. The comments from industry professionals were all very positive, so much so that, for this year, we are preparing new content and more awards that will be awarded during the ceremony in Mexico City, in addition to honoring a new member of the Ibero-American Hall of Fame. ”, says Daniel Marcet, CEO of FIAP.
Mexico, the creative center of the region
There is no doubt that Mexico today, par excellence, is an important center of regional creativity. On the one hand, its rich cultural diversity and historical heritage offer an inexhaustible source of inspiration for artists and creators. Furthermore, the country has a growing creative industry ranging from graphic design and advertising to fashion and cinema, generating jobs and contributing significantly to the local GDP.
In this sense, Mara Fernndez, Chief Transformational Officer of PRODU and general manager of FIAP, highlights that the renewal for the second consecutive year of the alliance between FIAP and AWLATAM is fundamental proof of the great progress of this market that shines for its constant growth within the marketing industry and communication.
“This collaboration not only seeks to strengthen the presence in Mexico, but also leave a lasting mark throughout the region. This is possible thanks to the broad media reach and strong reputation of the three platforms involved. FIAP has a 55-year history, while PRODU has a 35-year history, both covering the evolution, development and trends of Latin American and Hispanic industry in the United States. This strategic alliance represents a continued commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of marketing and communications throughout the region”, emphasizes Mara Fernndez.
With the ratification of this powerful alliance, the Ibero-American industry will have an increasingly robust platform that, in turn, will serve as an engine for the development of new professionals, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, collaboration between emerging and consolidated talents and providing opportunities for training and growth in various creative areas.
“The growth of the US-Hispanic and Latin American markets is crucial to our industry, and through AWLATAM’s collaboration with FIAP and PRODU, we are highlighting the importance of creativity and innovation in driving this expansion. Mexico is at the forefront of this growth, showing the talent and leadership needed to lead these dynamic markets,” concludes Rowell.
