The atmosphere of fun and lightness is in the air! This is due to April 1st, also known as April Fools’ Day, when, around the world, humor and creativity take over and not everything should be taken so seriously. However, anyone who thinks that pranks on this day are limited to circles of friends is mistaken, considering that, in recent decades, even the biggest companies have jumped on the bandwagon and taken advantage of the day to share innovative advertising campaigns.

McNugget Boot do McDonald’s (2023): In the United Kingdom, the fast-food chain McDonalds, or as it is called in Brazil Mqui, played with fashionistas by announcing the “McNugget Boot” as the tastiest shoe of the season, made from chicken nuggets from the restaurant. SmartBricks da Lego (2019): Lego toyed with the idea of blocks that gently move away when someone approaches, a prank that would be very welcome for anyone who has ever suffered from stepping on Lego blocks scattered across the floor (just like all of us at Adnews have already we suffered at least once *laughs*).
