This Monday was April Fools’ Day, but this partnership is definitely real! Instead of using the date to launch something that doesn’t exist, Carmed e Burger King came together to create an unusual but real lip balm, and as hot as the fire on the grills that make the unique flavor of a Burger King burger.
The product will be available for free when purchasing some specific BK combos, while supplies last, in 37 participating restaurants throughout Brazil.
Karla Felmanas, VP of Cimed, Joo Adibe, CEO of the company, and Burger King itself participated in the product launch campaign, with content on their social networks with easter eggs related to the new lip moisturizer, between the 27th and 31/03.
Furthermore, this Tuesday (2), the VP and CEO of Cimed will be at the Burger King restaurant, located at Avenida Rebouas, 2184, in So Paulo, from 3pm to 5pm, taking orders at the counter to promote the action. While serving customers, they will talk more about the unusual partnership between the two brands and the combination of lip balm with Burger King’s fire.
It was a really fun project to develop, because something really strange that no one imagined could happen. This all sums up the innovative DNA of Cimed and Burger King, which are always looking for different and funny ways to communicate with the public. April Fools’ Day is the perfect context to put the creativity of both companies into a campaign that will certainly impact the advertising market, explains Karla Marques Felmanas, vice-president of Cimed.

Once again we are bringing a disruptive campaign, combined with an innovative product, that will take over April 1st issues. And what’s most important: a real product, available for a limited time, says Mayra Dietzold, Communications Director at Burger King.
