New VPs bring their experience from more than 20 years in the market to add to the agency.
A BETC HAS, which this year celebrates 10 years of operation in Brazil, is reinforcing the Creation area with the hiring of two of the most respected creative leaders in the market, who arrive with the proposal to add experiences and expand creativity. The agency announces the arrival of Sophie Schönburg and Otavio Schiavon, as Vice Presidents of Creative. Professionals with consolidated careers and experience at renowned agencies will work together with VPs of Creation Alexandre Vilela (Xã) and Marcelo Bruzzesi.
The new hires come three months after the arrival of Carol Boccia as co-president, who leads BETC HAVAS from the front line in partnership with Diego Alonso, co-president and with Erh Ray, founder, CEO and CCO, the operation and development of new businesses from the company.
A professional with more than 30 years of career, Sophie started early, at the age of 18, at W/Brasil, where she became enchanted by the writing profession. She went through DPZ, worked for 19 years at Almap BBDO, led the creative department of the Brazilian operation of Pereira O’Dell and also of Mcgarrybowen, and was at Africa Creative for the last six years, where his work helped in the construction of one of the most awarded agencies in the world . Sophie created campaigns that were national and international successes, for large clients such as Volkswagen, The boticarioBauducco, Havaianas, Visa, Pepsi, Fiat, Nature, Vivo, Sadia and Azul. Super awarded at the main festivals around the world, she won the Caboré Award as Creative Professional in 2020.

A trained writer and passionate about storytelling, Otavio has 25 years in the market and has worked in the largest and most renowned agencies in Brazil, such as Leo Burnett, DM9DDB, Almap BBDO, Africa, Talent Marcel and Wieden + Kennedy, helping to build important brands such as Itaú, Vivo, Claro, Volkswagen, Fiat, Folha de São Paulo, BRF, Heineken, Mondelez, among others. Awarded at the most important national and international festivals, he was voted the number 1 creative in Latin America in 2022, according to The One Show.
Otavio Schiavon expresses happiness when he comments that working alongside Carol Sophie and Erh is a big win/win (double victory) and that he has hit the jackpot.
