Valuing root cuisine and the tradition of bars, Copa Energia awards five bars in SP, RJ and MG with gas.
In order to promote the large market of bars and pubs, Copa Energia, the largest company in Latin America in bottling, marketing and distribution of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), announces sponsorship of its brands Copagaz e Liquigas to Comida di Buteco, the biggest annual “bar” competition in Brazil, which takes place between April 5th and May 5th and will choose the best bar in the country.
With this partnership, the company will reward five winners of this edition with six months of gas supply, divided by region. There will be three recipients in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Capital, Baixada Fluminense and Niterói), one in São Paulo and one in Belo Horizonte, areas that are key points for the expansion of our brands. In addition, 70,000 placemats printed with the company’s brands will be used in participating bars in these locations.
“Rescuing the roots of Brazilian culture is a premise of Comida di Buteco and is fully linked to the values of our brand. We selected the strategic regions of SP, RJ and MG to reward the bars that won the action and we are very excited about our debut in this partnership”, says Emmanuelle Kalil, Marketing Director at Copa Energia.
To compete for the prize, each bar will create a snack to be evaluated by the public and the jury, who will give scores from 1 to 10 for four items: snacks, hygiene, service and drink temperature. The weight of the jury and the public is 50% each. In this competition, the so-called “mystery shopper” also acts. He will visit the site and secretly express his opinion.
The voting period begins on April 5th and runs until May 5th, in Belo Horizonte, Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Goiânia. In other places, voting ends earlier, on April 28th. Physical votes will be collected and counted by an independent polling institute. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in São Paulo (SP), on May 28th, at 7pm, at 033 Rooftop at the JK Iguatemi shopping mall.
Contest History
Comida di Buteco was born in 2000, in Minas Gerais, with the aim of rescuing authentic bars and, over time, defined that its reason for being is to transform lives through root cuisine, that is, having the bar as an extension of your home. Over the course of 23 years, he has played an important role in promoting culture and root cuisine.
Buteco, with “U”, is how the miners affectionately call their bars. It means above all simplicity and authenticity. Buteco has always been synonymous with good food, a democratic and relaxed atmosphere, and this format has not changed anything, according to the organization.
