A Meta is investing more and more in artificial intelligence. In addition to testing an AI-based chatbot in WhatsApp In some countries, the company is experimenting with artificial intelligence in Instagram.
On Instagram, the idea is that searching in the search bar will lead the user to chat with Meta’s AI, where they can ask questions or use a pre-defined prompt. Thus, it will be possible to discover new content on Instagram through the use of the artificial intelligence-based bar.
For example: if a user wants to see a video on Reels of a sunset, they can simply write a prompt like “beautiful sunset in Maui”.
“Our generative AI-powered experiences are under development in several phases, and we are testing several of them publicly in a limited capacity,” a Meta spokesperson told TechCrunch.
At the same time, the company confirmed that it is testing Meta AI, its chatbot, on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger in India and parts of Africa. It is important to note that India is Meta’s largest market in the world, with more than 500 million Facebook and WhatsApp users in the country.
The chatbot aims to answer questions directly in conversations and also offers the possibility of generating realistic images from text prompts. Thus, Meta’s growing interest in artificial intelligence can be seen, which should be seen more and more frequently on the company’s platforms.
