Published in the Official Gazette, approval was given without restrictions
Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) approved, without restrictions, the purchase of the Playcenter Group, announced last February during a press conference in São Paulo.
The news placed the chocolate brand, one of the main players in Brazil, in the entertainment and experience sector. The new moment will be guided by the purpose “We live to, together, touch people’s lives, sharing special moments” stipulated by the company.
Opened in July 1973, Playcenter was one of the most emblematic amusement parks in the country, inspired by attractions from the United States and Europe. Historical data says that Playcenter received around 1.5 million people annually.
The park closed its doors on July 29, 2012.
