O Publicis Groupe announces Gabriela Borges as managing director of Publicis Brasil. Having been with the company for 13 years, the last three leading service to all of the agency’s clients, the executive will report to the group’s CEO in the country, Gabriela Onofre. Together, they have the mission of enhancing excellence in customer service and people-focused management that make the Publicis brand a reference in Brazil and the world.
Eduardo Lorenzi, who has served as CEO since 2019, is leaving the group.
“We thank Edu for his strategic vision and contribution in recent years and we wish him much success in the new stage that is beginning”, comments Gabriela Onofre.
The arrival of Gabi Borges as the leader of Publicis is part of the agency’s transformation process, so that it continues to strengthen itself as a powerhouse in delivering communication and business solutions to clients.
“This is another milestone in the work we are carrying out in the country to further position Publicis Groupe as a business partner for our clients”, says Gabriela, who took on the position of CEO of the holding company in Brazil in August 2023.
According to her, Gabriela Borges’ deep knowledge of the agency’s culture and her strong connection with clients were essential for Gabriela Borges to take on leadership of the agency.
“I am sure that together we will ensure that the agency intensifies its growth path, expanding its relationship with brands that are some of the most present, remembered and relevant in people’s lives in Brazil and around the world”, he adds.
Elected Business Professional at Caboré in 2022, Gabriela Borges arrived at Publicis in 2011. Over the years, she has been customer service director, VP of Business, COO, and now takes on the position of managing director. The executive was a key player in Publicis’ recent achievements, such as the PicPay, Hershey’s, and Decathlon accounts, and in increasing the agency’s scope of work with clients such as Sanofi and Nestlé.
