Companies came together to transform the warm-up and post-show into a big party
Madonna’s performance in Rio de Janeiro will be marked by unprecedented lighting on the facade of the Copacabana Palace in partnership with Itaú Unibanco. On Friday night (3), the hotel will be fully lit in orange and on the day of the show, Saturday (4), the lighting promises to be even more special to mark the only show in South America and the end of the The Celebration Tour.
The Copacabana Palace lighting system was implemented to celebrate the hotel’s centenary, in August 2023. The process of restoring the facade preserved the historical importance of the building, revealing all its beauty and grandeur. Totally new in Brazil, the lighting system allows you to create different scenarios with each of the lights, in a personalized way.Company
“In addition to making it possible for Madonna to come to this unique performance in Brazil, we want to provide our customers and the general public with an unforgettable experience. Having a Copacabana Palace coloring this scene in different shades of orange will be another element that will help make this event an even more special celebration, in a partnership that also celebrates the centenary of Itaú and the hotel. With this spectacle aside, those on the Copacabana waterfront will witness a true lighting show, with the gradual turning on of the lights, further intensifying the grandeur of this historic moment”, says Eduardo Tracanella, CMO of Itaú Unibanco.
In the lighting, the reliefs will be accentuated, at the same time as it turns into a dance floor for those on the shore. “The flags and flagpoles, as well as the signs, gained improved lighting, bringing even more life to the hotel at night. We are very happy to create this experience for the public and honored to be part of another historic moment in the city of Rio de Janeiro, alongside Itaú”, celebrates Ulisses Marreiros, Director of Belmond in Brazil.
The Celebration Tour In Rio show is presented by Itaú and the stage is set up in front of the Copacabana Palace, towards Leme.
