Signed by Nova, the campaign wants to raise people’s awareness of the fight for the survival of premature babies
The Ministry of Health is promoting a campaign that aims to encourage the donation of breast milk to increase the number of volunteers and the volume of milk in the Brazilian Network of Human Milk Banks.
The piece, signed by Nova, provides guidance on how to extract and store breast milk. Furthermore, the video was also developed with information to raise awareness, inspire and guide women to become donors.
“One of the reasons for the low donation rate is misinformation and Human Milk Banks play a fundamental role in guiding the entire donation and breastfeeding process. Informing where to deliver donated breast milk and how collection and storage should be done is one of the purposes of the campaign, which goes beyond breastfeeding women as the target audience, but encourages the entire support network of each one of them, which, with this small action, can save lives”, explained Márcio Nazianzeno, editor at Nova.
In Brazil, around 330,000 children born each year are premature and many of them need donated breast milk to survive. Therefore, the campaign wants to raise people’s awareness of the struggle being waged by someone who has just arrived in the world.
