Rede, a payment method company in the Itaú Unibanco reveals data that highlights the positive impact of Mother’s Day for retail, with a significant increase in sales both in physical and online environments. Last year, total retail revenue increased by 8%, with growth of 7% in physical sales and 13% in online sales. Furthermore, the number of transactions increased by 13%, driven by growth of 10% in the physical environment and 21% in e-commerce.
These numbers highlight the importance of the date for retail. And to strengthen Laranjinha as a partner for merchants, Itaú Unibanco launches a new campaign, including a 30-second film, in addition to OOH and social media developments.
“The significant increase in retail sales at this time of year is considerable, and we understand that entrepreneurs need solid partners during this journey. Therefore, given the relevance of the date in Brazil, this new campaign emphasizes that we are alongside merchants, explaining how we can support them in sales”, highlights Eduardo Tracanella, Marketing Director at Itaú Unibanco.
On air since May 1st, the campaign developed by the agency GALERIA.ag highlights the advantages of Laranjinhas machines and the complete solutions offered to customers within the bank’s ecosystem. Under the concept “It’s more than a little machine. É a Laranjinha do Itaú”, the film presents a humorous dialogue between two salespeople, emphasizing how entrepreneurs can increase their sales on Mother’s Day using the payment options offered by the Network, such as card, Pix, QR Code, payment link to online sales, among others.
“Since last year, we have been working on integrating the Network with Itaú, which aims to increasingly guarantee the customer in the center. Integration allows for several benefits for the customer, from better conditions on our products and services, to business management in a single place. The campaign aims to make some of these benefits tangible that only an Itaú acquisition can offer”, says Angelo Russomanno, director of Itaú Unibanco.

The campaign also presents the new layout of the machines, with two models: Laranjinha + and Laranjinha Smart, which offer applications for business management and everyday facilities.
