After being approved in the Chamber of Deputies last week, the Bill that reconfigures the Events Sector Emergency Resumption Program (PERSE), was approved in the Federal Senate on April 30, without relevant adjustments in relation to the approved text previously.
The text by Senator and rapporteur Daniella Ribeiro guarantees the maintenance of PERSE, which had been in a fragile situation, and will now go to presidential sanction. The CNAEs (7319-0/01, 7490-1/05 and 8230-0/01) linked to the live marketing and experience marketing sector remain covered by the program, which will normally be valid in 2024.
If the project becomes law, it is important to be aware of some changes such as the reduction of CNAEs covered by the program, the right to New PERSE for companies that, on March 18, 2022, had one of the benefited CNAEs as their predominant activity and the non-application for companies that were inactive between 2017 and 2021, among other issues for companies regarding real or arbitrated profit and taxes, which can be seen on the AMPROwhich brings all the updates on the topic.
“I am grateful for the dedication and performance of parliamentarians Deputy Felipe Carreras, author of the PERSE project and rapporteurs Senator Daniella Ribeiro and Deputy Renata Abreu, as well as the tireless performance of Elza Tsumori, Permanent Advisor, Director of the AMPRO Institutional Relations Committee, Ricardo Albregard , executive director of the AMPRO Incentive Marketing Committee, Ricardo Beato, Administrative Financial and Legal vice-president and the entire technical team at FAS Advogados”, adds Heloísa Santana, executive president of the Association.
AMPRO and more than 30 important entities from the events, entertainment and tourism industries in Brazil played an important role in defending the Program, which had another victory on a symbolic day where Event Professionals Day was also celebrated.
The budgetary impact of PERSE will be R$15 billion for the period from April 2024 to December 2026, and PERSE may be extinguished after the Federal Government proves, in the National Congress, that this ceiling has been exceeded.
