McLovers will enjoy another surprising experience. O McDonald’s This week presents ‘Quadradões de Molhos’, a new experience of consuming sauces from the iconic Tasty and CBO, now available in a new format and size.
To promote this news, Méqui launches a funk parody on the main platforms and social networks, ‘Manda o Quadradão de Molho’, which refers to the 2011 hit from Rio.
The song will also be the soundtrack for the campaign film, which also includes out-of-home media, radio spots, merchandising on TV Globo’s Mais Você and Encontro programs, as well as a digital strategy, with developments with influencers.
Anyone who visits the restaurants, goes through the drive-thru or accesses the Méqui app will have the new Quadradões de Molhos available on the menu. At 90g, this new consumption alternative brings an evolution in relation to the old 23g blisters of CBO sauces, known for their spices and creaminess, and Tasty, unique for its smoked flavor and texture.
These new products invite customers to explore different combinations and enjoy the unmistakable flavor of the sauces with every bite.
“Nothing is more iconic than Tasty and CBO sauces, our fans love them, and they have been asking for a while for us to come back with blister packs and other formats so they can eat them with any other item on the menu. So we decided to bring them in style, with Quadradões in the funk rhythm of the 2000s. With this new format, everyone will be able to share the sauces with friends and enjoy the full flavor of Méqui even more in everything they want, in the mixes and nonsense that you think is best”, highlights Sérgio Eleutério, Marketing Director at McDonald’s in Brazil.
The Sauce Squares have been available since last Monday (13th), and will remain on the menu while supplies last. The products can be found in the chain’s restaurants throughout Brazil. Each sauce will cost R$6.90. Customers registered in Meu Méqui, the chain’s loyalty program, will have the opportunity to redeem the product with 5,000 points.
To announce the news, GALERIA.ag created a 360° campaign, full of funk rhythm and energy. In the film, we see a lively crowd entering Méqui, followed by music, with people having fun and “sending a square of sauce” with different sandwiches, McNuggets and McFritas. Check out.
“This campaign celebrates the different Méquizices possible with Tasty and CBO sauces. The customer can make whatever combination they want: with McNuggets, McFritas, sandwiches, tarts and so on. The important thing is to send the Quadradão de Molho. And the choice of funk to compose the soundtrack brings a hint of humor and relaxation, which are so characteristic of Méqui”, comments Rodrigo Marangoni, executive director of Creation at GALERIA.ag.
Initiatives will also move social media, such as the invitation for the public to imagine combinations of Méqui snacks with Tasty and CBO sauces, inventing names for the snacks. Gastronomy influencers will participate, such as Fe Barone and Bruno Alexandre, creating recipes with Méqui’s menu and new sauces, encouraging the audience to share their own creations on social media.
And to reinforce the idea of sharing and highlight the generosity of Quadradão de Molho, famous duos and families on digital platforms, such as Wilou and Watson, will show how the experience of ordering a Quadradão becomes even more fun and satisfying when enjoyed together. The influence strategy also includes sponsorship of Gabb’s new program, in addition to content on its Instagram and TikTok profiles.
The campaign also features out-of-home media, highlighting the “appetite appeal” of the sauces.
