“As a truly Brazilian brand, it is an honor for Brahma to join the duo and work that are national icons. Starting to talk about São João with João Grilo and Chicó inspires a feeling of hope in all of us. The result of this mixture is a very genuine tribute to Brazil,” says Maurício Landi, Marketing Director at Brahma.
The campaign is part of the partnership between beer Nº1 and the film O Auto da Compadecida 2, which has master sponsorship from Brahma. The long-awaited sequel to the classic is produced by Conspiração Filmes, H2O Films and Guel Produções, and is scheduled to premiere on December 25th. With the aim of creating a new story respecting and remaining faithful to the universe created by Ariano Suassuna, Brahma also had the collaboration of Conspiração Filmes to script and direct the advertising film.
“Brahma’s tribute to Brazilian and northeastern culture is a super special project for Africa Creative. It is the result of long work, which has been going on since last year, and we are very happy to announce that after a year of great dedication, we managed to secure Brahma’s master sponsorship for ‘Auto da Compadecida 2’. This fact is the highlight of our São João campaign. We are pioneers in this initiative and we are excited to make history on this traditional and joyful date in our country”, concludes Heloisa Pupim, co-COO of Africa Creative.
In 2024, Brahma, with its long-standing history as a sponsor of São João in the Northeast, will be present at the celebrations in Campina Grande (PB) and Maracanaú (CE). The festivities start from May 29th and last until the end of June. A series of brand actions have been prepared to surprise the public during São João and the launch of the feature film ‘O Auto da Compadecida 2’.
