Festival also presented the winning case for “Best of Show”, given to Marcel Paris for the play “WoMen’s Football”
After publishing the list of winners, The One Show announced the winners of its main awards. This year, FCB New York, which won 14 Golden Pencils, was chosen as agency of the year for the awards.
In addition to the special awards, the festival also announced the winner of “Best of Show”, the event’s main prize, which was awarded to Marcel Paris for the “WoMen’s Football” campaign, created for Orange and produced by Les Artisans du Film Paris and Prodigious Paris.
The piece used artificial intelligence to place players like Kylian Mbappé and other French sports stars on the faces of Blues players, as a way to raise awareness and support women’s football. In the middle of the video, the technology is removed and the identities of the players responsible for the moves are revealed.
The play was also awarded “Best of Discipline” in the “Film & Video”, “Interactive” and “Online & Mobile” categories. Overall, the campaign received 10 Gold Pencils, three Bronze Pencils and six merits.
In this category, some campaigns stood out, such as “Dreamcaster”, by FCB New York for AB InBev’s Michelob brand, and “ADLaM”, created by WMcCann for Microsoft, with three each, and “Play it Safe”, by Revolver x Somesuch Sydney with The Monkeys Sydney for the Sydney Opera House, and “DoorDash-All The Ads” by Wieden+Kennedy Portland with Superette San Francisco, Lord Danger Los Angeles and Modern Logic Los Angeles for DoorDash, each with two trophies.
