“ESPN and the Premier League have been partners in Brazil for more than two decades and, in recent years, we have been increasingly strengthening this relationship. The ‘Premier League Meetings’ series comes to add to the extensive journalistic work that ESPN does for the Premier League. It’s a great project produced by two countries that love football, and that brings the league’s stars increasingly closer to football fans here in our country”, said Carlos Maluf, Head of Sports at Disney in Brazil.
Among the names invited are Thiago Silva (Chelsea), Willian (Fulham), Casemiro (Manchester United) and Alisson (Liverpool).
“The Premier League is pleased to announce ‘Encontros’, our first co-production with ESPN Brasil. This project, which has been in the works for 12 months, aims to showcase iconic monuments and the rich history of the United Kingdom, bringing Brazilian audiences closer together of the Premier League, and tell the stories of some of today’s biggest stars. We are excited to partner with ESPN on this project and hope Brazilian fans enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it,” added Paul Molnar, Chief Media Officer, Premier League.
