Novo trailer of “SILVIO” presents details of the life and career of the greatest presenter in the history of Brazilian television, Rodrigo Faro returns to acting after 16 years, facing the challenge of giving life to one of the greatest icons of Brazilian television, Silvio Santos, in the long-awaited film ‘SILVIO’. Scheduled to premiere in theaters on September 5th, the film directed by Marcelo Antunes delves into the details of the legendary presenter’s life and career, and has just received a new official trailer.
For Faro, Silvio has always been a true inspiration.
“When I was little and visited SBT to participate in a program, I hid in the audience, watching him present. In those moments, I dreamed of being on stage like him, being a communicator”, shares the actor, who received the personal blessing of Silvio Santos himself to play him.
The new trailer for ‘SILVIO’ delves into Silvio Santos’ most intimate memories, from his days as a street vendor on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, the beginning of his work on the radio, his relationship with Chico Anysio and Manuel de Nóbrega, to decisive moments in his career, such as creating the famous catchphrase “who wants money?” in the midst of a crisis at Baú da Felicidade. Furthermore, the film promises to reveal little-known aspects of the presenter’s life, such as his relationship with his daughter Cintia Abravanel (played by Adriana Londoño) and the exact moment he is kidnapped by Fernando Dutra Pinto (Johnnas Oliva).
Directed by Marcelo Antunez, produced by Moonshot Pictures, Maristela Filmes, FJ Produções, DIS Group and co-produced by Paramount Pictures, the film hits cinemas across Brazil on September 5, 2024.
