Jurors are gathered at County Hall, in London, to judge the works; awards ceremony takes place this Wednesday (22)
After several years being held at the former London brewery The Old Truman Brewery, D&AD takes the event this year to the Sounthbank Center in central London. There will be more than 80 speakers, who will meet this Tuesday (21) and Wednesday (22), to explore the intersection of traditional creativity and technology in design, art direction and advertising.
Among the speakers at the 62nd edition of the festival are names such as Chaka Sobhani, president and global chief creative officer of DDB Worldwide; Brian Collins, founder and CEO of Collins; Yasuharu Sasaki, global CCO at Dentsu; Jack Renwick, director of creative and strategy at Jack Renwick Studio and president of D&AD; in addition to the Brazilian Camila Moletta, Latam design director at Coca-Cola.
The D&AD Awards juries for more than 40 categories include more than 300 creatives from around 50 countries, with 14 Brazilians among them. The judges have been meeting since Saturday (18), at County Hall, also in the center of the English capital, with views of the city’s postcards, such as Big Ben and the London Eye. The revelation of the long-awaited Pencils takes place during the awards ceremony, which will be on the 22nd, at Southbank Centre.
This year, the Brazilian judges are: Erh Ray (BETC Havas); Vellas (PrettyBird); Camila Moletta (Coca-Cola); Jessica Almeida (Ghana); Renata Dumont (Stink Films); Sophie Schönburg (Africa Creative); Icaro Doria (DM9); Deh Bastos (MAP Brasil); Juliana Utsch (GUT); Rami D’Aguiar (Cabin Editing); Gilvana Viana Cruz (Mugshot Music); Leandro Assis (Lebassis); Gabriel França (AlmapBBDO), and Luiz Sanches, CCO of global accounts for the BBDO network and chairman and partner of AlmapBBDO, who will preside over the Integrated jury.
