It was taking too long! A Netflixone of the main services of streaming in the world, surprised its Brazilian subscribers by revealing the increase in prices for all plans, without formal prior notice. In addition to following the company’s own trend, which adjusted the prices of subscription packages in the United States at the end of last year, the change also follows the wave of readjustments from other streamssuch as Disney+ e Maxwhich have increased their prices recently.
Check out the adjustments, which have been in effect since last Thursday (23), and what each plan offers:
- The Standard Plan with Ads, which increased from R$18.90 to R$20.90, offers the entire streaming catalog in 1080p Full HD resolution, allowing two simultaneous screens;
- The Standard Plan, which went from R$39.90 to R$44.90, offers the same conditions as the previous plan, but without ads;
- The Premium Plan – 4K + HDR, which rose from R$55.90 to R$59.90, provides selected content in 4K + HDR and allows up to four simultaneous screens.
The increase comes after the last change made by the company, in October 2023, when Netflix ended the Basic plan. The measure follows a global trend of adjustments in the prices of streaming.
The new values are generating mixed reactions among users, with strong dissatisfaction among those who subscribe to more than one platform. streaming. Furthermore, this change also reflects the transformations taking place in the subscription services market, with companies constantly adjusting their prices to compensate for the increase in production costs for original content and the need to maintain profits in a highly competitive environment.
