The company informed, in a note, that it reached an agreement with MAM Asset Management
Grupo Dia reported, this Friday (31), that it reached an agreement with MAM Asset Management, an operation that is part of Banco Master, for the sale of 100% of its capital in Brazil.
From now on, the company will invest in the Argentine and Spanish markets.
In March this year, the Dia network filed for judicial recovery. The company, which arrived in the country in 2001, has an estimated debt of more than R$1 billion – of this total, R$268 million is bank debt.
In a statement, the company said that, with the total divestment in Brazilian territory and the sale of 100% of the capital, ‘Grupo Dia will have its liability limited, with a clean exit in relation to MAM Management’.
Furthermore, Grupo Dia said it committed to MAM Asset Management to make a contribution for the benefit of Dia Brasil in the amount of 39 million euros.
