In addition to the action on the field, Juntos pelo Planeta also released a campaign signed by Giusti Creative PR and produced by Santeria
Bahia and Atlético Mineiros joined together in an action that aimed to alert the public about global warming.
The initiative took place during this Sunday’s match (2), at Arena MRV, when athletes Hulk and Everton Ribeiro shared the driving of an ice ball, made from recycled water, representing planet Earth. The ball remained around the pitch, melting, symbolizing global warming.
In addition to the ice ball, the players wore a patch symbol of the Together for the Planet campaign on their shirts, as well as the team’s corner flags and captain’s banner, which were also customized.
Galo Doido, mascot of the Minas Gerais club, and the mascots, also entered the field with a campaign flag.
Along with the teams, the Galo Institute and the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG), the Public Ministry of Bahia (MPBA), and the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad-MG) also supported the action that makes a allusion to World Environment Day, celebrated this Wednesday (5).
In addition to the action on the field, Juntos pelo Planeta also announced the launch of a campaign, which was shown on the big screens at Arena MRV. The film, signed by Giusti Creative PR and produced by Santeria, is entirely focused on the melting of the ice ball and inserts what could happen to the planet if no action is taken to combat climate change.
In the end, the video reaches the year 2050, when the damage could be irreversible, according to the Chatham House Climate Change Risk Assessment report, and announces the declaration of the risk of extinction of humanity, warning that there is still time to turn the game around.
