Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the latest title in the award-winning Assassin’s Creed franchise, is available for the first time on a free weekend. From today, February 24th to February 28th, the full game* can be explored free of charge by Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC players via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store. In addition, all progress achieved in the period will be kept by the user if he decides to purchase the game permanently.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla presents the saga of Eivor, a legendary Viking leader who left Norway in the 9th century AD due to wars and increasingly scarce resources. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players experience the ruthless fighting style of Viking warriors with enhanced dual-wielding combat and experience never-before-seen features such as raids, settlement building, and equipment progression and upgrade systems. Political alliances, combat decisions, and dialogue choices can influence the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and players must choose their paths wisely to protect the future of their clan.
Another new feature coming to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is Dawn of Ragnarok, the game’s next major expansion. Launching on March 10th, the new content will be playable by anyone who already owns the base game and will be available for sale in three ways: as a standalone product, as part of the Ragnarok edition, which includes the base game, and Complete digital edition, which offers the base game, the season pass and the Ultimate Content pack.
Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, Dawn of Ragnarok follows the Year 2 content of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla in an expansion where Eivor faces his destiny as Odin, the Norse god of battle and wisdom. In the new story, the kingdom of Svartafheim is falling, and amidst the chaos, Odin’s son Baldr is captured by the Turtr, giant, immortal fire creatures. Players will be able to unlock new godly powers as they continue their legendary Viking saga.
Everyone who purchases Dawn of Ragnarok by April 9, 2022 will also receive a Twilight add-on pack and have immediate access to all base game items such as a Dellingr Envoy Raven skin, the ability to ride a Havards Lynx, the set. of Twilight equipment and the axe Algurnir Dane**.
