The channel’s debut is scheduled for the second half of this year
CNBC continues to form the team for the premiere, which is scheduled for the second half of this year, in Brazil. The vehicle announced hiring for strategic leadership positions.
Carolina Vargas will assume command of the distribution vice-presidency. With 20 years of experience in telecommunications and the audiovisual market, the executive will leave her position as CEO of her company, Stenna, to take on the new role and work on distributing the vehicle throughout Brazil, focusing on audience platforms such as payTV, digital, social media, streaming, mobile, DOOH, among others. “Having the mission of bringing CNBC, one of the biggest brands in the world, to as many Brazilians as possible is a privilege in my professional career. We will have differentiated and attractive content, and we will make this innovative programming spread throughout the country”, says Carolina .
Three other positions were announced by the vehicle. Ailton Cavalheiro will act as head of technology and operations at CNBC. With more than 20 years of experience in the engineering, technology and media operations sector, Cavalheiro has already implemented TV stations in Brazil and the USA, in addition to working in media groups, such as TV Globo, Record, Sony Channel and Netflix.
Maria Lígia Custódio will take over as head of administrative management to work in financial planning, executive production, logistics, business organization and tax management. The professional was in administrative charge of programs at China Media Group in recent years.
Additionally, Roberta Ciasc will be the head of commercial planning at CNBC. Having worked at Warner Bros Discovery, Fox Brasil and Globosat, the executive has more than 20 years of experience.
