Ynon Kreinz will receive the award that celebrates the creativity of inspiring others to produce engaging, meaningful and entertaining content
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced that Ynon Kreiz, CEO of Mattel, will be honored with the Entertainment Personality of the Year award this year.
The award celebrates creativity and inspires others to produce engaging, meaningful and entertaining content. Now, Kreiz joins the hall of honorees that is made up of names such as Kevin Hart, Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix and Lorne Micheals, producer of Saturday Night Live.

Throughout his career, the executive led a multi-year transformation strategy that established Mattel as a high-performance toy company. Under his leadership, the company launched Mattel Films, which was responsible for the film “Barbie”, which premiered in 2023 and became the highest-grossing film of the year, in addition to receiving eight Oscar nominations and winning Best Original Song. Currently, the company announced that it has 16 films in development.
